TFTD: When we’re going thru challenges, we should avoid people or places that‘ll cause us to be tempted to fall into a lifestyle of sin. It’s a biblical principle to choose our friends wisely. When dealing with obstacles, let’s surround ourselves with friends that’ll encourage us and support us to do what is right in God’s eyes. Maybe we need to get more involved in our church activities, be more supportive to others who are struggling, or just give someone a positive word to hold onto. With God and good friends, we can overcome any storm that comes our way. ~Todd

TFTD: At some point we all go through difficult times, whether it is a crisis situation or a time of sorrow that seems to have no end. It takes strength to endure and courage to stand during these battles. But, the Holy Spirit will give you both. Remember that God is our Father. He is willing and waiting to help us get through every trial. Turn it all over to Him and watch the victory that overcomes all the trials of this life. Take the limits off of God; He has never lost a single battle! ~Louise
TFTD: A woman responded to a FB comment by saying she couldn't see or feel God, so she didn't believe He existed. I’m quite certain she’s never seen or felt her brain, but she knows it’s there. Our good friend Joe Blevins used to say, “I don’t need to know how the clock is made; I just need to know what time it is.” We don’t have to understand everything. We just have to believe. In fact, that’s where faith comes in, and it’s impossible to please God without faith. What about you? Are you pleasing to God with the level of your faith? ~Marsha
TFTD: I heard someone say, “Desperation is the door that a breakthrough enters.” I get it. When we’re down to nothing, God is up to something. But we should be prepared for an attack of the enemy. Little Joe and Hoss never waited until the middle of a battle to load their guns. Heck no! Their 6-shooters and holsters had plenty of ammo. We have the sword of the Spirit and we should be in lock and loaded mode. When satan hits with sickness, we should know that “by His stripes we’ve already been healed.” If depression hits, we should know that “the joy of the Lord is my strength.” If something is frightening, know that “when I’m afraid I will trust in Him.” Get in the Word; know what the Bible says before you need it. The devil roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he can devour. Are you adequately armed? ~Marsha
TFTD: I’ve always liked to take pictures. My Grandpa Leo said he wished he had bought stock in Kodak when Heath was born lol. Back then you spent a fortune in developing film because digital cameras weren’t around. Now you can take awesome photos on your phone! If a picture isn’t good, just delete it and take another. Life can be like that. If you’re headed down a wrong path, stop and take another route. If things aren’t in focus, stop and listen to God until it clears up. If your mouth gets you in trouble, put a filter on it. Stop and think before you speak. There’s so much beauty in the world. Don’t focus on all the negative. Just smile and be a light to those around you. ~Marsha
TFTD: Today is a good day to put the past behind us, step up to the plate, and swing for the fence. We need to go all out with the plan that we know in our heart God has for us. Jeremiah 29 says He has a plan and a purpose for us. He has a bright future waiting for us. We’ve just got to have faith, be obedient, and watch what He‘ll do. We must take that first step, submit to Him, and watch how it unfolds. With God as our head coach, we’ll win every time. ~Todd

TFTD: I heard a young man say “I’m dying” after he heard a funny joke. I asked him if he really wanted to die because of it. He thought it was just a saying, but I think the devil acts on things we say because he can’t read our minds. We have to be mindful of things we say. Don’t profess death and sickness over yourself. Put a guard on your mouth. Our tongue is the hardest thing to control but it’s imperative that we do. Life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). Listen to what you’re saying. Do you really want everything that you speak to come true? ~Marsha
TFTD: All over the nation students are preparing for the first day of school. For some it’s a time of excitement, for others it’s a time of apprehension. From Pre-K to college, there are new opportunities and new challenges. Some students will excel, some will not. Some will embrace the new chapter with a sense of adventure, some with a sense of dread. Life is full of opportunities for all of us. We can step out and try new things or we can hole up at home. It makes it easier if we know that God is with us, for with Him, nothing is impossible. You’ll never find out if you can do something if you’re too scared to try. Step out of the box. Know that “I can do all things thru Christ who gives me strength” Phil. 4:13. What would you attempt if you knew that you’d succeed? ~Marsha

TFTD: Just because you failed at something doesn’t mean you’re a failure. Just because you’ve made a mistake doesn’t mean you are a mistake. God can still use you. Just repent and get back on track. You’re more than a DOC number. You’re more than a number on a scale. You’re more than a high school dropout. You’re a child of God! You’re a joint heir with Jesus! Your Daddy owns the cattle on a thousand hills. God will never define you by your worst mistake, so why should you define yourself by it? ~Marsha
TFTD: The joy of the Lord is our strength. What does that mean to us as Christians? For me, it’s not allowing the circumstances I’m in dictate my joy. We can all find joy in knowing that the one who created us lives in us. If we’re saved, then we’re on the winning team. No matter what we’re going thru in life, we can be assured that God has a plan and a purpose for each of us. We need to focus on what’s coming our way as believers, and let’s let that little light shine. ~Todd

TFTD: Austin sang a song a few weeks ago that I had never heard before. It was about God being a “Way Maker.” It meant so much to me, and it gave me so much hope. We have all been knocked down and had heart-breaking disappointments, sickness, and experienced many other difficulties that came to destroy us, our family, and our friends. Some have even lost their way. Our faith can sure feel tested. I want to encourage you, “Don't give up!” God may not show up the way we thought He would, but He is a Way Maker. He will make a way that’s best for us and it will bring Glory to Him and eternal reward for us. Believe -- the best is yet to come! ~Louise
TFTD: I never noticed how many red vehicles were on the road until I got one. I guess I have my mind on red cars. Whatever you set your mind to, your body will follow. If you’ve always got your mind set on being mad, it’s easy to get mad at people. It’s easier to find good things about people when you’re focused on finding the good. Conversely, if you are focused on the negative stuff, you’ll find reasons why things won’t work. Why do some people see the glass half full while others see it half empty? It doesn’t take much effort to find the bad stuff on the news. The challenge is to find good things. Be a positive person. Compliment people, speak to them, or give them an encouraging smile. If you become what you constantly think about, is that going to be a good thing? ~Marsha
TFTD: Is God really your source? Who do you run to when the going gets tough? It doesn’t matter what you need, He has a supply. It doesn’t matter what your problem is, He has an answer. It doesn’t matter how bad you’re hurt, He has a cure. We need to be like David and remember everything God has brought us through and delivered us from. He knew God had delivered him from the lion and bear. He knew God as Father and knew He’d be with him during the fight with Goliath. Do you KNOW, “There is nothing too hard for Him?” Jer. 32:17 ~Marsha

TFTD: Within a week I’ve heard three different preachers talk about not limiting God. Maybe He’s trying to tell me something. If Bill Gates offered to buy you ANY vehicle you wanted, would you pick out a Porsche or settle for a used Pontiac? If we wouldn’t limit Mr. Gates, why would we limit the Creator of the universe? He’s got streets of gold! God doesn’t want His kids struggling to make ends meet. No! He wants us to prosper so we can bless others. It will be hard to pay for someone’s dinner if we can’t even pay our water bill. What are you believing God for? Take the limits off. Read Mark 11:24 and start praising Him for the answer. ~Marsha
TFTD: Have you messed up in life and things aren’t how you wanted them? Remember the story in the Bible about the potter’s wheel? God is truly the master craftsman. We have to give up control and turn it all over to Him. As we humbly allow the Holy Spirit to guide us daily, that’s when God can reshape our lives and get us back on the road that leads to greatness. ~Todd
